Chassis number Hu32B in the correct 1970s livery of Eagle Creek Aviation, Indianapolis USA.
The original Hu32 was destroyed in a crash at Road America in 1974. This car is a rebuild on a new tub using mostly new parts and some original parts.
It is FIA HTP registered through Motorsport New Zealand.

Chassis tub: aluminium 3/4 monocoque, bonded and riveted.
Extra strengthening added to foot box area.

Engine: built in New Zealand by Steve Weeber with no expense spared.
Correct Chevy 5 liter using a DART block that has been lightened, AFR alum heads, T&D shaft rockers, roller cam, Weaver dry sump oiling, Vertex magneto.
Correct Lucas mechanical fuel injection on MacKay magnesium manifold.
Bartz valve covers are from the original Hu32.

Gearbox: Hewland DG300, magnesium case, 5 forward speeds. Box set up with more robust DGB/DGN Indy car gears.
Half shafts are equipped with CV joints.

Brakes: AP Lockheed 4 piston magnesium calipers with cockpit bias adjustment.

Moto Lita steering wheel and Lola fiberglass bucket seat are the originals from Hu32.
Period correct Jones rev counter.
Koni dampers. Aluminium radiators.
Recent Willans harness.
High down force vintage “banana” rear airfoil.

No computers, no anti skid brakes, no sissy traction control.

VARA logbook and Motorsports New Zealand logbook.
This car spent several years “down under” and was the 2009 winner of the Australian Vintage GP.
