$5,900 – Hollister, MO:

“Factory original, except paint which are the original colors, 1956 DeSoto Firedome with only 53000 miles. This car runs great and drives but needs brakes (parts are included) and the fuel system checked as it has been sitting in storage for an unknown period of time. Yeah, it’s got a HEMI! It also has power steering, push button automatic Powerflite transmission, factory radio, heater, etc. The paint looks better in the pictures than it does in person and there is very little rust bubbles on the lower rear quarters and right rear rocker panel. All the rest is solid and it still has the original trunk mat and liners, complete interior including the carpeting and headliner, as well as a few spare parts. Both front and rear bumpers are freshly rechromed.

The DeSoto automobile was produced by Chrysler Corporation along with Plymouth, Dodge, and Chrysler from 1929 through the end of 1960 and ended with the 1961 model. It was comparable to Mercury, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick as a mid range luxury car at the time – big and heavy as they all were.

This DeSoto is a true classic and quite rare. Parts are easily obtained as most are the same as the other Chrysler products as far as mechanical components are concerned and many body parts were shared with the Chrysler itself.

Phone calls only, no trades, no financing, and no help needed or wanted with selling this automobile. There probably isn’t another one like this on the planet as nice at this price.
