$7,500 – Charlottesville, VA:

“Saab collector selling a very nice 1973 Saab Sonett III. The Sonett was Saab’s 2-seater fiberglass sports car, built from 1966-1974. The Sonett III edition was sold between 1970-74 with about 8,000 produced. Sonett III’s were powered by a 1700cc V4, 4 cylinder engine built by Ford in Europe. Manual 4-speed transmission.

This particular Sonett still has a 1977 Texas registration window sticker on the windshield. The lineage, so far as I’ve been able to determine is that the car went from Indiana to Texas and stored for may years… was restored and painted about 10 years ago. The 51,000 miles is believed to be original and I have a clear Virginia title that says “actual miles”. It is currently registered with antique plates and running well…in fact I just showed it at a car show last weekend.

The interior is all original except for a new headliner. All gauges work and the car starts right up and drives as it should. The previous owner converted the exhaust to dual exhaust and it has a growl to it making it seem a little meaner and potentially faster than it really is. There are no rust issues anywhere on the car. Nice set of original Saab “soccer ball” style wheels.

$7,500. Serious inquiries only. I only respond to emails that include a name and phone number. “
