“1977 GMC Motorhome Palm Beach Model 26 foot model
This is an all original 42,000 mile coach. The body and interior are all original and in fantastic shape. All original paint that shines like glass. No leaks and no smells!!. This RV was kept in a dry warehouse unused since 1986.
The body has all original panels with no cracks. The Palm Beach stripes and lettering are original. The stripes are slightly faded in some places. I am having new stripes and lettering made, which will be exact to the original and better than the reproduction stripe kits that are sold.
The interior is all original and has not been modified at all. It has the green shag carpet which is in excellent shape. It was always covered. The seats are multi colored green plain which is in very good condition. The plaid is slightly faded in some places. I have a roll of brand new original plaid fabric that goes with the coach. The cabinets are original GM and are in excellent shape. The green counter top looks brand new. The bathroom is immaculate and looks brand new. The dash is in great shape and all original and has not been cut up. It has the original AM/FM 8 track with an unused factory Oldsmobile 8 track tape. The drivers and passenger seats are in great shape but the green color is faded because of the large cockpit glass. The headliner is original and needs to be replaced because the glue separated (which is common on these).
The Chassis is solid and has been sanded and repainted. (Look at pics!! I don t see anyone providing pics of undercarriage)
Engine Compartment is clean
The Palm Beach sleeps six, has a stove, 3 way refrigerator, bath and shower, closet, furnace, thermostat, roof A/C, hot water heater and for the ladies……. A central vacuum system!!!!
Also included is a 1970’s Motorola mobile phone looking CB and a 1970’s SYFY TV antenna that is factory and cranks up from the inside.
Mechanically, the coach has been gone through to make it road worthy. Here is a partial list:
New
Radiator, Brakes (Master Cylinder, Brake lines, Calipers, Rear wheel Bearings, Rear Brake hoses), Fuel Tanks dropped and cleaned, 65 feet of new fuel line, New Fuel Pump, Rebuilt Carb, New Front axles, New Front bearings, new tie rod ends, replaced steering box, replaced lower steering shaft, New rear Air bags, Cut off air valves have been added so the air bags can be inflated from external air pump. New alloy wheels 16 inch for greater variety of tire choices. It has six new Firestone Tires. Has new exhaust.
The glass and weather stripping is all original and in excellent shape. No leaks! Screens are there and in great shape.
Rear stairs in great shape.
Chrome is original and shines nicely!!
It is hard to find one of these with low miles and in original condition.
Two car shows, two trophies, and the Palm Beach was the most popular!!! On the road constant beeping, stares, smiles, questions and thumbs up!
A beautiful unique RV. Plenty of parts and support for these.
Sorry such a long description, but there is a lot to cover on this. This one is Rare in this condition and all of the hard work has been done. A lot of time and money was spent waking this one up. This is a unique vehicle, a lot of fun and a lot cheaper than a Newer RV.
If you like green and the seventies you will Love this one. As cool as a classic VW Camper…… only bigger!!!
