$3,800 – Glendale, AZ:

“Pre-GMC 1939 school bus with a Wayne Motor Coach body (founded as Wayne Wheeled Vehicles in Indiana in 1837), this 2013 ranch find was running until the seats were removed and it was converted into a camper for the owner’s Aunt perhaps 20 years prior. Found bank-side 4-5 miles up a secluded arroyo situated ~40 miles east of Prescott, AZ, the bus is marked as #28 Prescott School District. The owner was located and the bus was purchased with a bill of sale as evidence of the purchase.

The bus is not running, but the engine is free and it appears to be the original. The body and frame are structurally sound although the sheet metal on the left front side of the roof (see photo) has buckled as if it was near a fire, perhaps a forest fire. The bus needs rubber and glass (all flat glass).

If interested, please contact me via email and I will respond with my name and phone number so you can ask me directly any questions you might have. She’s a beautiful old bus, and quite rare.
