$5,000 – Fryeburg, ME:

“1972 Honda Z600 Coupe – No, this isn’t a Civic, it was before the Civic and was Honda’s first attempt at selling a car in the United States. Advanced for it’s time with 2 cylinder, air cooled, 600cc or 0.6 liters, 4 speed, tachometer, front wheel drive, front disc power brakes, 10” wheels, rack & pinion steering, seats 4, this is a fun mini car that can be driven daily. Easily accelerates and keeps up with traffic around town and will go 65 mph on the highway although everyone else is going 80. My wife and I drove it to Boston and back a couple years ago for a micro car show. just watch out for people taking pictures, they’ll run you off the road to get a better look! This is the AZ600 Coupe not the AN600 sedan though both use the same engine and transmission, the Coupe is much more modern feeling and driveable in my opinion and after owning and driving both extensively. The Styling of the Coupe is a little more controversial while the sedan is a bit more conservative and Mini-like but the dashboard, instruments, and interior lighting of the Coupe feel more current. Blue metallic with black vinyl interior, it was poorly resprayed a few years back and could use a better paint job – pictures make it look better than it is – and the driver’s seat has a couple splits in the seat cushion bottom. Rock-solid reliable and never fails to start no matter how long it sits, mechanically sound, tuned annually, not driven winters or in the rain but does live outdoors. Rust is minimal with some bubbling present, dull paint, solid underside and floors. I’ve owned it 5 years and it was garaged and stored prior to my purchase. Kenwood cd/stereo with aux and USB jack added, otherwise stock condition and I believe everything works except the windshield washers and the wipers are slow. Rear hatch glass was replaced with plexiglass by a previous owner and that has a few stress cracks but doesn’t leak. It could be replaced by glass since it’s flat and could be custom cut pretty easilly. A blast to drive and a real attention getter. Drive and enjoy or bring it to the next level with some cosmetics. Doesn’t get enough use with me anymore but I did 3-season daily drive it when I first got it, time for someone else to enjoy it. $5000 firm – might be on the higher end of the scale but that’s what it’s worth to me. I also have a 1972 Honda N600 sedan project available separately consisting of a complete car that was involved in a light rollover along with a rolling shell and all the parts that came off it and a spare engine/transmission assembly.
