$3,000 – Branford, CT:

“Picked this car up from PA in August of 2016 with 224k miles and drove it through the winter of that year and that is all. It was my commuter while my other vehicle was stored. Plan was to do a proper build and bring it back to former glory. Plans have changed, I moved to Boston, and the car has been stored since.

Full disclosure, I am not a great resource for technical information on these cars. As an Audi enthusiast, it was uncharted territory for me so I will do my best to describe the condition of the car and the problems it had/has to the best of my knowledge and from the POs description. The car will need work. The only thing I did under my ownership was replace the tires, top up the trans oil, and do an oil change.

Car is currently located in Branford, CT

VIN: WAUHE5447MN005975
Titan grey- there are scratches all over the paint, probably not all that uncommon for a car of this vintage.
Approximately 225k miles
I have a clean carfax from when I purchased the car.
Title in hand.

You will need to tow the vehicle, it has not been started in close to a year.

$3,000 obo- willing to negotiate with the right buyer.

Car is in fair condition at best with some rust, some dings but no significant rot.

In July of 2017, the starter went. The car has not really moved since and currently sits in storage.

Things wrong while I was driving the car:

Trans output shaft bearing was bad- thus the car made a grinding noise while driving. Rode fine, drove straight, went into gear no problem, just a very unpleasant sound. I have a replacement 015 5-speed transmission which will be included in the sale. It has 178k miles and was reported to be in good working order when purchased. It was purchased from a fellow enthusiast in this group along with replacement widebody front fenders (also included).

A/C was inoperable- a compressor is included with the sale.

The transmission leaked fluid after drives. I was told the leak is from the front axle seal. I had topped the fluid off before driving through the winter. I had the car inspected once purchase and this claim was justified.

Center cluster was a little wonky. Temp gauge would periodically move and go back to normal, center cluster would come in and out randomly, but did show proper boost pressure. Tach, mileage, speedo, etc. all worked and displayed properly.

Driver’s side front window has not worked in my ownership. I believe the entire motor will need to be replaced. I Jerry rigged it up in my ownership by shimming and velcroing.

Sunroof does not work.

The engine operated well, pulled strong and smoothly, again, it has not been started in an extended period of time.

Mods/maintenance:

Car currently has 200 10v narrow body front fenders. Two good condition 200 widebody fenders will be included with proper paint from paintscratch.com. I began priming the fenders and that is how they sit now. I will also include smoked blinker lights for the wb fenders.

Clutch and RMS were said to have been replaced by PO. I’m not positive, but the clutch engagement was consistent and fine.

3 inch turbo back exhaust to a vibrant race muffler

Upgraded wastegate spring

B5 S4 front brake conversion, yellow calipers

Intended acceleration chip

Bilstein shocks with h&r springs. I looked, this seemed to be the case in the front with just springs in the rear. I could be wrong on the brands here.

V8 rear bumper conversion (stock included)

HID light conversion. Not a great job here by PO, but they worked sometimes throwing a code for bulb out.

Rear wiper delete. Full assembly included with sale.

17 inch ASA wheels and I purchased new Nexen winter tires before the winter of 17.

There is a window tint, it appears to be of good quality. It is dark- that’s the extent of what I know.

Red painted valve cover- seems like an ok job. Not sure if it was replaced.

The car needs a good bit of work and a good home. Should be a fun project as I believe it is a very complete and very rare car. Again, you will need to tow/transport the vehicle. I would also assume the battery is dead at this point.

Interior is in good condition, and complete with an original trunk cover.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and I will do all I can to answer accurately. As I stated I moved to Boston and the car is currently stored in Branford.
