$3,200 – Durham, NH:

“This is a 1986 Quantum Syncro wagon.

I have owned it since 1991. This has been the best car I have ever owned and I have owned many cars. Selling it feels like selling the family dog or something. I really want the car to end up with someone who appreciates it
for what it is. It’s not just another old VW, it is a piece of VW/Audi history.

This car has a rebuilt engine which I built with no expense spared. New Mahle pistons, OEM German oil pump, and too many other parts to list here were used. The engine has slightly over 10,000 miles on it and it has proven to be a super strong engine compared to all the other 2.2 inline 5 engines I have driven. I had the rotating and reciprocating parts balanced and you can really feel it in how smooth the engine is.

The body of the car has a very small amount of rust because the car has spent most of its life outside of the salt belt. So the car has a lot of life left in it, especially because of the rebuilt engine. All the other mechanical bits have received the correct maintenance and then some, and the suspension and drivetrain need nothing.

The car has Bilsteins, 15” Corrado steelies, fresh tires, Recaros out of a GTi 16V and Hella E-code headlights with 100 watt bulbs run via relays. There’s a lot more I could tell you but the ad would end up being too long to
read.

So, rather than me writing a super long ad, I think it would make more sense to discuss the car via phone if you are seriously interested. Warning : I could go on for hours about this car and the work I have done to it.
