I love Land Cruisers, but I just don’t have the time to work on this project. So, I’m forced to sell. Bought this from a friend who’d had it since 1995. Take a look through the pictures to get a feeling for vehicle condition.
This is a smooth running vehicle, solid engine, transmission, and transfer case. Updated gas tank with new electric fuel pump (that’s why the passenger seat is presently unattached). Good brakes and okay tires – lots of tread, but getting old age cracks.
The body was painted green long ago, but the vehicle was originally the light blue color available on early 1970 FJ40s. The floor pan under the driver’s side is pretty rusted, but the tub floor is in better condition everywhere else. Body rust has been covered with aluminum plates riveted to rear quarters and running boards.
The various loose wires are from the missing radio and CB setup. The passenger seat, rear view mirrors, and such are in the back, ready to be put back in place. Front and rear heaters work great, no AC. Headliner is gone.
It’s rough around the edges, but a good runner. FJ40s are skyrocketing in value, but this is priced to move. I have title in hand, first person with payment gets it. Text for more info or to see. OBO
