$14,500 – Chico, CA:

“Hello there dear prospective owner of this Porsche super car of yesteryear. If this were 1984, this car would practically be under warranty! A mere 33,698 miles. Very clean guards red paint on the exterior and all black leather on the inside. Sunroof. Electric everything. Automatic. Very powerful V8 propelling what is said to have been the fastest production car in America at the time.

Driven by Tom Cruise in Risky Business and Pacino in Scarface (though his was bulletproofed– this one is sadly missing that option). I drove it at 160 on the open highway in NV, just after buying it, and it was as quiet and vibration free as if it were taking a lazy Sunday cruise through the park (If there are any Highway Patrol reading this, assume that’s fiction).

Only thing that isn’t stock is the stereo, but I have the original for you.

Pros: Ridiculously low miles! Regularly serviced. Gorgeous inside and out. It’s the right color for this 80s styling that is quickly becoming “classic.” Serious head-turner/ thumbs-up-receiver. People have, on several occasions, asked me if it’s a Ferrari. New Oil Change and brand new registration. Smooth, luxurious, very powerful and fun to drive. Appreciating asset. Very, very rare these days in this condition and at these miles.

Cons: Major con is that the air conditioner doesn’t hold a charge for long. I’m pretty sure the guy who sold it to me tricked me because it worked just fine for a few days and then… didn’t. And after recharging it, again, it didn’t hold it for long. Clearly a leak in the AC System. Also: the rear latch, which, apparently is commonly faulty, is… faulty. No biggie, just pops loose over bumps. It’s just $300 to fix (parts AND labor) but I haven’t gotten around to it. Though it verges on a show car to anyone casually looking, there is some rust around the battery compartment and underside of the car, so it’s not. But the pictures speak for themselves, I think.

If you send me a text or email, make sure to say something so that I know you’re not some scammer. Don’t try it.
scammers! And please don’t contact me unless you’re seriously interested.

Prices are all over the place on these things as they seem to be getting quickly pulled up by the craze for air cooled 911s and all things Porsche.

These were the childhood dream cars for people who are at that age where they are just getting rich enough to finally buy their dream. It was my dream car, along with the Lamborghini Countache, of course ;). But now I have no garage, two kids. I hope it can be yours dream car, too 🙂 Super fun and unique car.
