“My 1973 Volvo p1800 ES Sport Wagon is mostly an all original numbers matching car with low original miles. Below, is a detailed overview of my car.
* I have all the receipts for all the parts and work I’ve done to my Volvo p1800 which will be included with it.
Here are things I’ve done and parts I’ve purchased for my car. There might be some things I’ve forgotten to mention, however, this is a listing of the most significant things:
1. Recently purchased and had a new High Performance Ceramic Coated Complete Exhaust Manifold Assembly from IPD installed. Also, at the same time I purchased and had installed a new Dual Sport Exhaust System from p1800.com and bought and had a new high quality Oil Pan Gasket from VP Auto Parts installed. New Valvoline VR1 High Temperature Racing Oil was installed at this time. Whole Exhaust System is new except for the Original Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips.
2. Purchased and installed a new high quality and correct Fuel Pump. Still have the Original Fuel Pump which can be rebuilt and will come with the car.
3. Purchased and installed all new high quality Rubber Fuel Hoses including a new High Performance Earl’s Fuel Filter and OEM German made Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator from VP Auto Parts.
4. Purchased and installed all new OEM Rubber Hoses for the engine bay from VP Auto Parts. Still need to install the hoses connecting to and from the heater core, but, will come with the car.
5. Purchased and installed a new high performance Aluminum Finned Valve Cover, Gasket and Chrome Oil Filler Cap from VP Auto Parts.
6. Purchased new high quality Radiator Overflow Tank Cap from VP Auto Parts and thoroughly flushed coolant from the whole system.
7. Purchased and installed new Red Top Optima Battery, high performance Bosch Spark Plugs, Zero Resistance Silicone Jacket Granitelli Spark Plug Wires, Pertronix Electronic Ignition with matching Pertronix Flame Thrower Coil.
8. Transmission System was completely flushed and new high quality correct F Type Transmission Fluid was installed recently and at the same time I had the Differential completely flushed and had new high quality and correct gear oil installed.
9. Recently removed, cleaned and recharged the K&N Air Filter, removed the Air Intake Hose and cleaned the Intake Manifold and Throttle Body. At the same time I tuned the Bosch D Jetronic Fuel Injection System including flushing and cleaning the whole fuel system including the Fuel Injectors and Rail.
10. Purchased and installed new high quality Luisi Leather Wrapped and Burled Walnut Wooden Steering Wheel. I have the Original Steering Wheel which will come with car.
11. Purchased and installed new high quality Replacement Seat Belts for Driver and Passenger Front Seats from VP Auto PArts. I have the Original Seat Belts which can be rebuilt and will be included with car.
12. Purchased and installed new high quality correct Replacement Alternator and new high quality Gates Fan Belt at that time.
13. Purchased new Stainless Steel Mesh Screen. Hand cut, hand shaped and installed Custom Radiator Grill with it. Still have the Original Plastic Radiator Grill in excellent condition which will come with car.
14. Purchased and installed under the dash new Flexible Heater Hoses from VP Auto Parts.
15. Purchased and installed new high quality OEM Rubber Seals for the Doors, Hood and Rear Glass Hatch from VP Auto Parts.
16. Purchased and installed new OEM Front and Rear Mud Flaps from VP Auto Parts.
17. Recently, found, purchased and installed very hard to find Original SEV Marchal Fog Lights in very good working condition with NOS very hard to find Original SEV Marchal Soft Fog Light Covers. However, I haven’t connected the wires to the fog lights yet.
18. Purchased new OEM Splash Guard Plates from VP Auto Parts, however, I haven’t had time to install them yet and will be included with car. Also, I purchased Factory Option Aluminum Fender Guards from VP Auto Parts which are mounted underneath the front fenders to protect them and keep them from rusting. I haven’t gotten the chance to install them yet and will come with car. I believe they cost about $500 and had to be shipped to VP Auto Parts from the Volvo Factory in Gottenberg, Sweden.
19. I recently purchased a new Haynes Workshop Manual which will be included with car.
