its a 1986 535i Dolphin Grey with Cardinal Red interior (rare combo) with an iS conversion given the m-tech front bumper, rear trunk fin, and Limited Slip diff. Interior is fantastic shape – 8.5/10 easy.

updated head unit with Ipod Cable
Recent work done- Full driveshaft with carrier bearing, new Transmission mounts, new power steering pump, new window rubber stripper in 3 of the 4 doors, new windshield washer jet pump, Front left caliper, Brake lines across rear calipers and all the way to front booster.
Things the car could use:
faceplate for the head unit is not always perfectly in contact with head unit, a bit finicky.
some oil weeps from valve cover gaskets, nothing major probably a half quart to quart between oil changes. No smoke or anything like that, just that it travels down to the accessories/block. Oil pain gasket could probably use a change.
ABS module currently unplugged because one of the sensors was acting up and setting off the ABS while slowing to a stop.
Antenna tries to go up when radio is switched on but is unsuccessful.
Left blinker signal bulb as come loose- blinker still works on outside of car and makes noise inside of car but it does not flash on the cluster.
Paint is overall in very good condition but there fair amount of rock chips on front and side of car from driving, moderate scratching on bottom of front valance from pulling in and out of driveways, a patch of rust in engine. some rust at corner of rocker under door but nothing bad, the rest of the rockers and floor pans are perfect still with the rubber coating.
only 1 accident on the 33 year old carfax which was the rear bumper corner getting scratched up and pushed in a by a woman when the car was being transported to me- I have pictures of it!!
Temp for Coolant gauge does not work, every once and a while it will spring on. I have replaced the temp sender and that did not work so its prob the gauge itself or the wiring. my money is on the gauge have a poor contact in the back of the cluster. take care of this first.
could benefit from aligment.
There may be other small things im missing but nothing major is needed to enjoy this car. Just get in and drive. its tracks straights, pulls hard, brakes well, and handles the road beautifully- a true driver.
