$4,200-$3,400 – Hagaman, NY:
“Up for sale is a 1980 Comuta Car. To combat the oil embargo of the early 70’s the CitiCar was an electric car produced between 1974 and 1977 by a U.S. company called Sebring-Vanguard, Inc., based in Sebring, Florida. Sebring-Vanguard was sold to Commuter Vehicles, Inc., which produced similar vehicles (the Comuta-Car and Comuta-Van) from 1979 to 1982. Accounting for all CitiCar variants, a total of 4,444 units were produced up to 1979, the most since 1945 for an electric car assembled in North America until surpassed by the Tesla Model S.
This car is an Oregon State car and in great condition for its year. It’s all electric running on 48 Volts. The car is rated at an electric driving range of 28-30 miles and has a top speed of 25 – 30 MPH. This car has all new batteries installed last June which were $1,200 and brand new tires installed which were $375. The electric motor has new brushes installed. The car comes with some extra parts and a factory service manual. It has a clear New York State title. This car turns heads!!! Roli in the TV series Counting Cars had one check it out on You Tube! A great car show piece! Would possibly be interested in a trade deal for a vintage car such as Ford Model A, vintage Chevrolet vehicle, Crosley, Morris Minor, MG, Austin, etc.Offered at $4,200.00 or $3,400 without the batteries.
