“Hello everyone, I have for sale, my 1958 American Motors Rambler Super 6. These cars are quite rare these days as only 1,300 were made in 1958. This one is mostly original and boasts a 196ci In-line 6 and a 3spd on the column. She runs pretty well, drives pretty well, and you can pick her up, register her, and drive her around with a little bit of work. The car has been repainted at one point in her life, she used to be a factory teal car but someone painted her all white at one point and did the interior in red. She’s a pretty straight car, no major damage anywhere apart from some dings and on medium sized dent on her driver side rear wheel well.
Some things to know, she has a brand new battery as of two days ago, she has new ignition parts including; points, condenser, rotor, cap, wires, plugs, and coil. She also has a freshly rebuilt carb, newer electric inline fuel pump, fuel regulator, and newer air filter. The floor was cut out at someone point by the previous owners so patch panels were welded in and painted black with a rust preventative. Inside the trunk it has a rust hole where the spare used to stand up right, trunk also doesn’t lock and I don’t have keys for the doors. The interior is actually in good shape, the upholstery is great, all of the glass is intact, all the trim is there, new headlights, original radio even still works, new radiator, has aftermarket ac that needs a belt and change to 134a and would probably be nice and cool. One issue the car has is that the shift linkage is out of alignment so it’s hard to get into reverse. The best thing about these pre 1968 cars is that they are emissions exempt and are really cheap to register, mine was $64 for two years!
She also has a clean and clear title ready for you to sign. If I weren’t trying to get my mustang back I wouldn’t be selling her. She’s an awesome car that just needs a little bit of love and effort. It would be best to bring a trailer and take her home that way because the tires are not the best. I am asking $3,500 OBO and I also have a 1982 F150 that I am selling for $2,500 or will trade both for a 2005-2009 Mustang GT 5spd. Thanks for looking.
